Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Singer 4423 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine
I sew for a living and have gone through 2 (other brand) so called “better” light weight, computerized sewing machines in the last 3 years. I’ve been so frustrated with “new” machines that bill themselves as being lightweight, as if this is a plus. What that means is their guts are made of plastic and styrofoam and they WILL NOT last…Their 25 year “limited” guarantee, is just that…LIMITED.. They will not replace a machine that goes bad and the consumer will end paying almost as much as the machine cost in the first place to have it fixed. I wanted a machine built like the old machines, one I could depend on to go the long haul. That’s why I ended up purchasing the Singer 4423 Heavy Duty Machine. It isn’t as heavy as the old machines, but it isn’t light weight, either. It’s got metal guts and appears to be built to last. (K. Challendor)
